Around Friends Stamp by SparkLum Around Friends Stamp by SparkLum
A quote from *marthig, who left this in one of her comments on something of mine. I thought it was awesome, so I asked her if I could stamp it :)

With me, I just have two" personalities": One around family, and one in public. Mine around family is nearly completley uncivilized. Around others though, I act like a dream-come-true in a not-snotty way. :)

I've grown to slightly disagree with this statement over the years... Slightly, not completely. Because sometimes we are jerks to people, including our friends, and we need to learn that "being ourselves" sometimes also means "untrained in social behavior and in need of improvement."

I have several differnt personas:

1. The one I have when I'm totally alone
2. The one I have with non-close family
3. The one I have with super close family
4. The one I have when I'm with friends (no longer applicable. I have no friends)
5. The one I have in public alone
6. The one I have in public with friends
7. In public with family, close or not
8. And my personality while in school, with or without my so-called friends.

I sure do wish I had someone to share my deep dark secrets with in real life. I don't want to take my true self to the grave when I'm super old and dead (hopefully dead. I don't wanna be buried alive! :noes:)

I don't think ANY of us want to be buried alive. My brother had a dream once though, that he woke up in a coffin under ground. He was stuck in there for HOURS. Then he finally woke up. :)

Yeah...

In freaking movies, people always have those two friends that they had in school even when they're old and knitting sweaters or at least wrinkly and saggy... but in real life, you leave school and learn that they never wanted you around and that you were just in a group of "we don't fit anywhere"'s and you end up leaving school with no friends... and also, romance is perfect in the movies. You find the one, that's it. In real life, I'm pretty convinced that it will never work now.

Sorry for being morbid... I was fine a minute ago...

I'm just feelign really depressed for whatever reason :/ it'd be nice if I could at least pinpoint the reason :(

But I wanna change my attitude and become happy again. Maybe it's not helping that my mp3 player is full of sad music lol

Try distracting yourself with something you like and try to be not so negative. That's what I've been doing and it works, at least for me.

Hm... I don't know. You should try to find out what is making you feel sad. It can be a problem in your life or something that really bothers you and find a solution to it.

((I feel like I'm the only one who disagrees... I never show who I really am until that person has been with me through thick and thin... Some people think I'm a total idiot, others think that I am the jumpiest most perviest sassy gay friend they have ever had, but the only person who knows the real me is actually my father. I only show who I am to the people who I love with all my heart, but I'm afraid that those people are one in a million. ))

I don't think that's neccessarily disagreeing, unless you believe that it's better for a person to introverse around their friends.
